My mom’s friend Gina recently lost her mother and generously gave me three large plastic tubs of her mom’s fabric.  There was lots of cotton so my mom and I decided we should make a special quilt for Gina in appreciation.  Our usual teamwork–I pieced it and mom quilted it.  Here are front and back…

and the happy recipient!  Gina said the front looks just like something her mom would have made and she loved the back almost as much as the front.

Such a nice thing for you to do, and isn’t it great that your mother likes to hand quilt. All round good story.
