12 x 12–other Mirror quilts

Although I heard a few complaints about the difficulty of my mirror theme, I found the variety of interpretations quite wonderful.

Sharyn had just gotten back from a trip to Alaska with her grandson.  She depicts a rear view mirror with Jacksonville in the rear and Alaska ahead.

Melinda used the reverse of a mylar balloon to create “Seven Years of Bad Luck.”  She says she will never cut or sew mylar again.

Linda created “Reflection of Aspen Lake”–an imaginary place.  Notice how she uses the wrong side of the aspen fabric for the reflection.

Vicki created “Mirror Image” using both color and motif.  Her label is amusing with it’s backwards writing.

Diane and her husband make custom kaleidoscopes which inspired her quilt.  She also brought one of their beautiful kaleidoscopes to share with us.

Good show, Twelves!
