Quilting vacation

Since I’ve been ripping out most of what I’ve been stitching lately, I decided a quilting vacation is in order.  You’ll see some humorous photos soon.  Meanwhile, for some inspiration, hop over to Lisa’s blog.  She has posted some wonderful photos from the Empire Quilter’s show in NYC.  And I happen to know she is going to the Red and White Quilts show on Tuesday so more eye candy can’t be far behind.

About quiltfever

I retired in 2004 and have never missed the 8-5 grind even for a minute. Now I spend my time reading, traveling, quilting and trying to learn new things like Spanish and blogging.

Is that a quilting or blogging vacation?

  2. Good! Enjoy your break! But come back to quilting!

  3. What a timely post–for me, that is, because I’ve been slowly, patiently working on a 33 piece 9-inch Japanese block with lots of re-dos. Lots. A 16th (or 32nd, even) of an inch seems to matter a great deal when working with small pieces. But my mantra has been, “What would Carol do?” as in be patient, think of this as mindfulness meditation…. So kick back, relax, and bring on the humor!

    What are you ripping out?!
Actually – A break is always a smart thing when frustration sets in- it gives perspective!
